Conferences & Teaching
A team approach is emphasized with active participation by residents in the regular operations of the Radiology Department. Residency schedules include daily resident conferences at noon. Conferences are also held at 7 a.m. or 4 p.m. on most days.
The formal instructional schedule is arranged from September through mid-June, with weekly sessions in physics. Current case conferences are held during the summer months, together with an introductory course for first-year radiology residents. Advanced residents prepare case presentations occasionally for some monthly interdepartmental conferences.
The department also actively supports clinical research in which residents are encouraged to participate.
