Conferences & Teaching

Christiana Care offers conferences and rounds as part of the residents' daily schedule. The Family Medicine Residency Program conducts weekly core curriculum conferences at the Family Medicine Center. Monthly grand rounds feature local and visiting professors of national and international stature. Most of our medical staff members are on the faculty at Jefferson Medical College. Medical students from Jefferson Medical College and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) rotate in the office and with the inpatient service.

Residents are encouraged to broaden their knowledge through professional meetings and contributions to medical publications. Funds are available for residents to attend one seminar or conference each year, and residents are encouraged to participate in scholarly activity and/or performance improvement initiatives.
