Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching is an effective, structured program designed to help you build the life you want. Your trained, licensed wellcoach tailors the program to meet your needs and provides one-on-one guidance, support and encouragement as you define and create a more harmonious and balanced life.

Wellness coaching is a partnership process, with wellcoaches there to provide the structure, expertise and inspiration that you need to move forward beyond what you would do alone. Your wellcoach helps you to focus on the present—not dwell in the past—in order to make changes for a more fulfilling future. Together, you and your wellcoach will look at the obstacles you face as stepping stones in your journey to identify your values, set your goals, build confidence, strengthen your resolve and act on your natural impulse to achieve wellness.

The wellness-coaching process

We begin the process by giving you a well-being assessment, which identifies where you are in life and what obstacles you face that affect you physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Then, during your first session, which lasts from 60 to 90 minutes, you and your wellcoach identify your priorities and develop a personal wellness plan. Your plan will include a vision for your life, three-month goals and the first steps you need to take to get you on your chosen path.

In the following sessions, each of which may take 30 to 40 minutes (weekly or monthly), you and your coach will review your progress, and explore and resolve the most pressing issues. In the process, new insights will help you refresh your goals for the next session.

Generally, by the end of three months, you can expect to reach more than 70 percent of your three-month goals. You can expect to feel newly confident, energized about your life and secure in your ability to make changes that improve your well-being.
